I love Spring!! Not only is it a shift from the colder temperatures of Winter, it is a reminder that change is constant and that new beginnings inevitably beckon for our attention! I happen to notice with no hesitation!

The colors of Spring can be a direct inspiration as you plan your wedding day attire and decor! And incorporating floral elements and accessories can be a chic surprise to any wedding theme.

Spring accents can range from a garden decorated reception or the bride's hidden pair of floral shoes! Adding vines throughout your reception tables and including robust, floral arrangements as your centerpieces, are a great way to pay homage to Spring on your big day. Showering your reception tables with flower petals and candles add a lovely romantic touch!

Floral beading and embellishments add a subtle hint of Spring to any wedding gown and bridesmaid's dress. Fabric flowers and beaded flowers are elements that can make any look playful!

Men's ties in flower prints and Springtime colors, continue the theme. Accessorizing with flower adorned shoes for your bridesmaids and shrugs and wraps with flower embellishments, create a beautiful living bouquet!!

Many wedding planners have created petal designs for the bride to walk through as she makes her grand entrance. These stunning displays can create a floral design or can include the initials of the bride and groom!

With the stunning display that Spring is gifting us daily (yes, even on the rainy days everything looks greener!) find amazing ways to include it into the decor and accessories to make your day memorable!!

Think Spring!!

The weather lately has been beautifully unpredictable! With storms and tornadoes touching ground here in the Mid-Atlantic and record high temperatures that challenge the name 'Spring', it may be difficult to draw inspiration that is both beautiful and practical.

Even though the weather is more like Summer, why not just think Spring!!

Inspirations from Spring can still fit into the warmest Summer wedding day. The cool colors of turquoise and sky blue mixed with the light fabrics if silk shantung and crepe back satin, will be visually pleasing and comfortable during the hot summer months.

Clear and frosted glass vases give the look of crisp and cool to any table centerpieces. And fresh spring flowers bring the beautiful color palette to full bloom! River rock favors are a great touch to lead your guests to think of soothing, rocky shores!

The elements of nature that can be tied into your Spring inspired Summer wedding are endless!

Of Sand and Shore!

Bringing an element of surprise to show off your bridal style is a great way to keep your wedding unique! You don't have to schedule a destination wedding to sweep your guests away to a calm, serene ambiance. It can all start with the color palette chosen for your wedding party!

Colors like turquoise, pale pink, and khaki, instantly convey the elements of the shore. Incorporating various textures such as soft satin coupled with silk shantung, reflect the smoothness of the water and the grainy sands! By focusing on a neutral color scheme and working in soft and bold colors, you will be sure to create a visual oasis to display for your guests...and to enjoy for yourself!

I believe in keeping things simple! Letting nature and all things lovely inspire! There is a rhythm that nature has and when you let it relax you, you receive this calming moment of bliss! When planning your wedding style, let nature in to guide you!  Miles of sand and eons of ocean can leave you breathless...the same emotion you want to feel from your guests!!

Let the fashion and style from your wedding be one of calm inspiration intrigue and loveliness...blissful...like an ocean oasis of sand and shore.

Surrounded By Inspiration!!!

Winding down from the beautiful Easter holiday, full of Spiritual Hope, Seasonal Renewal, and Simple Restoration, there is a wealth of beauty sure to inspire! The holiday always leaves a path to reflection in its wake. And to add to the excitement, there is the royal wedding taking place tomorrow!

The media is abuzz about the upcoming nuptials and this may be a fine time for brides-to-be to find inspiration from abroad. From flowers and decor, to the Westminster Abbey and the ever so secret gown, the events of tomorrow's festivities are sure to leave you with breathtaking ideas to make your wedding day full of beauty, hope, renewal and simple restoration!

Be sure to take note of the color selection and theme as well as any accessories of note on the bride and the bridal party. These subtle expressions are what can make your own wedding stand apart from the crowd. To avoid being trendy, discover your own taste by being true to what you like and dislike while also incorporating inspiring ideas that you see, but on a smaller scale. Let the fantasy elements of this wonderful event take you away!

For the less princess-like, gain inspiration from the space shuttle blast off Friday afternoon. "How!?!" You ask?! With a name like "Endeavor" and the close connections that the astronauts and their families share, as well as the remarkable attendance to be made by Congresswoman Giffords, the contrast of close knit family bonds and endurance is a beautiful message sure to create a lasting impression when tied into your own ceremony!

This is truly the beginning of a time of intense inspiration!!!
Sit back and take it all in...

Everyday is Spring!

There's something so inviting about Spring! From the very first sign of it, as beautiful as it appears, the hidden gem of Winter is still in its wake and peers out on a few days when the temperature is low.

Cherry Blossoms are nearing their peak bloom in DC throughout the week and the cusp of Winter to Spring couldn't be more inspiring than right now. The stark and the delicate!

As I sit and bead a new wedding creation, I see the play on structure and drapery that each fabric whispers. The warm and the airy! The contrast and transition from Winter to Spring weaves effortlessly. Bring this element to your wedding plans! Let continuity inspire as you transition from engaged to planning to wedded bliss! Effortlessly allow everyday to be Spring!
